RE: Delta Dental
Dear Valued Patient,
The last two years have been interesting, to say the very least! We have had to re-evaluate current circumstances and make some difficult decisions in order to ensure that we remain viable and continue to provide the best care for you.
As such, we have had to re-examine our relationship with Delta Dental. Simply put, Delta Dental’s contractual agreement with our practice does not cover the quality of care that you have come to expect and that we are dedicated to give.
I have sought the help of multiple consultants in the Bay Area to try to renegotiate with Delta Dental, however, the company was unwilling to compromise.
It is with much consideration that I have decided to discontinue being an ‘in-network provider’ with Delta Dental starting in January 2022.
Because I am discontinuing participating with Delta Dental, you may want to review your benefits under Delta Dental’s plan to determine whether it will provide reimbursement for services provided by an ‘out-of-network provider’.
The good news is that:
- You can still remain a patient of our practice.
- We will continue to verify, explain, and maximize your dental benefits to the best of our abilities.
- We will continue to send claims on your behalf. However, we will no longer receive the payment directly to us. Reimbursement checks will be sent directly to you, therefore, we will require payment at the time services are rendered just like any other business/office you visit.
We hope to continue our long standing relationship with you and want to help you navigate any choices you will need to make in the upcoming open enrollment period with your employer. Open enrollment usually starts in August and ends in October.
